Notes
For The Amazing Race Season 26, First Frame service produced the Bavarian episode, taking teams from the heart of Munich into the alpine foothills of Upper Bavaria in a leg that became one of the season's most memorable.
The episode, titled "Get In That Lederhosen, Baby", sent competing teams, dressed in Lederhosen and Dirndl for the entire leg , from Munich Airport through the city and deep into the Bavarian countryside. In Munich, teams climbed to the top of the Alter Peter, the iconic 91-metre church tower overlooking the city, to spot their marked cars below before setting off on a self-drive journey to the former Schlafwagenfabrik and continuing into the alpine Voralpenregion around Schliersee and Spitzingsee. Further locations included the Wasmeier Museum, the Hasenöhrl Hof, and the Wolfseehalle — where teams had to master the art of the Beer Stein challenge, serving a celebrating Beerfest crowd in true Bavarian style.
Over two shooting days, First Frame coordinated over 130 local and US crew members alongside 14 competing teams and 32 supporting talents across a diverse range of urban and rural locations. The unique challenge of The Amazing Race lies in its preparation: Once the race is started, it cannot be paused. Every location, permit, logistic, and challenge station must be perfectly tested and in place before the first team arrives, demanding a level of pre-production precision that sets race formats apart from any other production type.
Season 26 continued First Frame's long-standing partnership with World Race Productions and Executive Producers Bertram van Munster and Elise Doganieri, dating back to The Amazing Race Season 3 in 2002.
