For Who Do You Think You Are? Season 4, First Frame served as the local production partner for the Cindy Crawford episode, filmed in Aachen, Germany.
World-famous supermodel Cindy Crawford travels to the United Kingdom and Germany to trace her family's origins back through centuries of European history. Her journey leads her to Aachen, the ancient seat of Charlemagne, where she meets Professor Rosamond McKitterick of Cambridge University at Aachen Cathedral to explore a remarkable discovery: a traceable family connection stretching back 41 generations to Charlemagne, King of the Franks, who by around 800 AD ruled most of Western Europe. As Crawford herself put it during filming: "You listen differently when it's connected to you."
First Frame coordinated all local production logistics in Aachen, including access to the Aachen Cathedral and other historically significant locations, working closely with the international production team from Shed Media US.
Who Do You Think You Are? is executive produced by Lisa Kudrow and Dan Bucatinsky and airs on TLC. The series accompanies prominent personalities on emotional journeys to discover their family roots.
