Notes
For Home, Apple TV+'s first original documentary series, First Frame served as their local service production company for all Berlin shoots — bringing its full production expertise to one of the platform's most prestigious early commissions.
Directed by Matt Tyrnauer and produced by MediaWeaver, Four M Studios, and Altimeter Films, the nine-episode series offers a never-before-seen look inside the world's most innovative homes and the visionaries who built them. The Berlin episode centres on Anupama Kundoo — the internationally acclaimed Indian-born architect, RIBA Charles Jencks Award winner, and TU Berlin professor — whose work bridges traditional craftsmanship, innovative materials, and sustainable design.
First Frame coordinated access to a remarkable set of Berlin locations: Anupama Kundoo's Berlin apartment, the FH Potsdam architecture faculty, TU Berlin, Ostbahnhof Berlin, and the architecturally striking Karlsson Penthouse — each requiring precise logistics and close coordination with location owners and authorities.
Home was ordered by Apple's worldwide video programming department under Jamie Erlicht and Zack Van Amburg, and was released globally on Apple TV+, marking a milestone as the platform's first original documentary series.
