Notes
For two episodes of the Expedition Unknown Season 2 finale, First Frame served as the local service production partner for Travel Channel and Ping Pong Productions, supporting adventurer and host Josh Gates on his search for some of the last unsolved mysteries of World War II in Germany and Austria.
The two episodes "Nazi Gold Train" and "Hitler's Atomic Secrets" take Gates through Munich and deep into Austria — to Linz, Gusen, and the Fuschlsee region — investigating lost Nazi treasures, hidden tunnel systems, and the historical traces of Germany's wartime atomic program. The episodes combine investigative research, historical discovery, and documentary storytelling in the format that has made Expedition Unknown one of the most watched adventure documentary series on American television.
First Frame coordinated all local production logistics in Germany and Austria, supporting the international Ping Pong Productions team at historically sensitive and logistically demanding locations across both countries.
