For The Amazing Race Season 22, First Frame service produced the Berlin episode, welcoming the final five competing teams to Germany's capital for one of the season's most memorable legs.
The episode, titled "The Ultimate Fun House", began with a spectacular 37-storey BASE jump from the roof of the Park Inn hotel at Alexanderplatz. Teams then navigated a series of challenges across some of Berlin's most iconic and unusual locations: the Brandenburger Tor, the Deutsches Technikmuseum, and the one-of-a-kind Buchstabenmuseum. The episode's defining Roadblock took place at Salon zur Wilden Renate, one of Berlin's most legendary clubs, where teams had to solve a JFK quote and navigate a pitch-black psychedelic labyrinth to find their next clue.
Securing filming access to Salon zur Wilden Renate during the club's regular hours of operation was no small feat. Berlin's club scene is notoriously protective of its spaces, and First Frame's established local relationships and reputation made this access possible. Country Producer Darren Bunkley led the local coordination alongside First Frame's team.
Season 22 continued First Frame's long-standing partnership with World Race Productions, dating back to The Amazing Race Season 3 in 2002.
